What does it mean to be a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Security?

The Microsoft Solutions Partner for Security designation recognises partners that demonstrate capability in helping customers protect their Microsoft environments. Microsoft measures this through customer growth, technical skills, usage growth, and deployments. For clients, it helps identify providers with proven experience across Microsoft security work.

How was it achieved?  What does it mean for clients?

Protrona achieved this designation by meeting Microsoft’s partner capability score requirements for Security. Microsoft requires partners to earn at least 70 points and score across the relevant Security metrics. Those metrics cover performance, skilling, usage growth, and deployments.

Clients can work with Protrona knowing the team has demonstrated Microsoft security capability through Microsoft’s partner programme. That matters for organisations using Microsoft 365, Azure, Defender, Entra, Intune, and related security tools. The designation supports confidence that Protrona can help clients configure, manage, and improve security across Microsoft environments.

Strengthen security across Microsoft environments

Businesses using Microsoft 365 and Azure often rely on several connected security tools. Working with a recognised Microsoft Security partner helps ensure those tools are configured, managed, and monitored properly.

Improve visibility across users, devices, and data

Modern cyber threats rarely target one system in isolation. A stronger Microsoft security posture helps organisations gain better oversight across identities, endpoints, email, cloud services, and access controls.

Reduce risk from common cyber attacks

Security controls across Microsoft Defender, Entra, Intune, and Microsoft 365 can help reduce exposure to phishing, ransomware, account compromise, and unauthorised access.

Get more value from existing Microsoft licensing

Many organisations already pay for security features within Microsoft 365 without fully using them. Better configuration and management can unlock security capabilities already included within licensing.
